Spurn

Spurn Point has been an important place in my life since my years studying in Hull. It is a landscape of extremes: exposed, fragile and constantly changing. Shaped by powerful tidal forces and coastal erosion, it exists in a continual state of change. I return repeatedly to experience its shifting shoreline, dramatic weather and unique sense of isolation. Through drawing and painting, I attempt to respond to Spurn not as a fixed location but as a living, evolving presence shaped by the dynamic relationship between land and sea.
